ABOUT

Ages 8–12

The Vitacca Woodlands Young Artists Performance Company (YAPC) functions as a preparatory company to cultivate young dancers in an enriching environment through both technical training and performance opportunities. Dancers ages 8–12 are selected by audition and train/rehearse in the Vitacca Vocational Training Program or Children's Program. A typical season will include three showcase and/or competitive events, two community performances, and Vitacca’s annual Dance Soiree in May.

REQUIREMENTS

• Dancers must be between ages 8–12 with at least two years of ballet training

• Dancers will be required to train exclusively at Vitacca School for Dance, Houston or Woodlands beginning in the fall term

• Weekly Training Requirements – two ballet classes, one jazz class (or contemporary jazz), one rehearsal period. Recommended elective training – tap class

• Dancers must be available for August choreography workshop (date/time available at time of acceptance)

• Dancers are required to perform in Vitacca’s annual production of The Nutcracker in November

YAPC 1

• Weekly Rehearsal: Wed. 8:00–8:45pm

• Focus Training Class: Sat. 11:30am–12:45pm

YAPC 2

• Weekly Rehearsal: Wed. 8:00–8:45pm

TUITION

• 2023/24 Monthly Tuition
  YAPC1: $235/month
  YAPC2: $185/month
  Includes: weekly rehearsals, ensemble choreography, additional rehearsals as needed, director fees, and event coordination

• 2023/24 One Time Wardrobe Fee: $240

• Registration Fees for Competition, Convention, or Showcase: (varies per event; Vitacca will likely attend three events this season)

Above fees are in addition to monthly training tuition. Please note, all tuition and fees are non-refundable.

TO AUDITION
