AGES 9–18

Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, Woodlands Vocational Training is a structured training opportunity for intermediate and advanced dancers ages 9–18. This pre-professional to professional curriculum prepares the dancer for the Vitacca Pre-Professional Divisions and/or offers a focused environment for study. With attention on technique, the dancer refines the core fundamentals and undergoes evaluation for future growth and advancement.

SUMMER TRAINING EXPECTATIONS

All Vitacca Dancers are encouraged to train three weeks over the summer at either Vitacca Dance Woodlands and/or Vitacca Dance, Houston. Dancers who wish to audition for the Vitacca Ballet’s The Nutcracker production must train at least two weeks. Dancers level Intermediate B and higher that train less than two weeks at Vitacca Dance will be reevaluated for the following season division placement.

PLACEMENT

Students ages 9 and up (as of September 1) are placed by knowledge, ability and potential. A complimentary placement class is required for all new students. To schedule a placement class, please email WoodlandsAdmin@VitaccaDance.com or call 281.367.7185.

TUITION

Division training costs (tuition) is based on a 35-week season and divided into 10 payments from August through May. Month to month registration is not allowed. All tuition and fees are non-refundable.

For online registration, please note that PayPal and online payment with a credit card incurs an event platform processing fee. Zelle payment does not incur a processing fee.

Registration is done by division. If dancer has already been placed in a division, please fill out the appropriate form linked below and email to WoodlandsAdmin@VitaccaDance.com. If dancer has not yet been placed, please email us to schedule a placement class.

CLASS ATTIRE

General

All dancers are responsible for wearing the correct dress code for their class level. If the dancer does not have the correct attire, the student may be asked to watch the class. For a list of required attire, please click below

HAIR

All students in Ballet classes must have their hair up in a bun. Bangs and long ends need to be pulled neatly back and secured with pins. A mist of hairspray should be used to keep loose ends out of the face and off the neck. Dancers with short hair (above the neck) need to secure the hair off the face and neck (bun is not necessary for very short hair).

JEWELRY & GLASSES

For the student's own safety there will be no jewelry or glasses worn in class.

Note: Bella Rosa leotards only available for purchase/order through August 16, and will be available for dancers in divisions C through Accelerated in Adult sizes only
